Together 1000 is NPU-Y’s initiative to unite our voice by increasing civic engagement for 1000 people.

NPU provides a welcoming, and friendly forum for neighbors to unite, and work together to improve, and enhance the community as a whole.

Become a voting NPU-Y member

Voting members must be resident/business in NPU-Y and  attended 3 meetings within the prior 12 months. NPU-Y meets every 3rd Monday of every month at 7 pm. 

NPU-Y works to provide a better quality of life for  12000+ residents in 10 neighborhoods.

What is NPU-Y?

NPU-Y  is 1 of 25 citizen advisory councils that make recommendations to the Atlanta Mayor and City Council, Department of City Planning Office on zoning, land use, and other planning issues.

Where We Are?

NPU-Y is a collective of neighborhoods located in southeast Atlanta, Georgia and borders the southeast section of the BeltLine. The neighborhoods consists of Amal Heights, Betmar LaVilla, Chosewood Park, Joyland, High Point Estates, Lakewood Heights, Park Place South, Pickfair, South Atlanta, and The Villages at Carver.

Apply for Lakewood Grant Today

  • Get Funded Quarterly.
    Apply for grants up to $2500. Deadlines are Jan. 1, April 1, July 1 and Oct. 1. Example projects are  clean-ups, tutoring, youth mentoring, arts and recreation programs, neighborhood beautification programs and senior services.
  • Impact your community.
    Any neighborhood group or civic organization within NPU X, Y or Z is encouraged to apply for funds for projects that benefit the residents of these
    communities. 501 c3 status is not required to apply.
